REVIEW: ASUS TUF Gaming A14 PROVEN TOUGH!

A gaming laptop with high specs but is lightweight! Read this review and you might find what you are looking for.

BRIEF SPECIFICATIONS:

DESIGN & PACKAGING

The packaging is eco-friendly brown box with premium quality but this time with no drawings, just plain.

The unit dimension is 311W x 227D x 17H mm. This model is lighter than the others, its weight is nearly 1.5kg, imagine bringing one (1) Britannica Encyclopedia, only this laptop is THINNER. I preferred this model compared to TUF A16 which weighs 2.27kgs. Including the TUF A14 charger it only weighs almost 2kg. 

The keyboard is sleek with single light backlit. I love the touchpad, its large enough for me with 16:10 ratio, perfect fit for the monitor and yes, it's very responsive! My favorite is the DISPLAY! Even though it's 14", I can focus more on the screen content, thanks to its slim bezel design. Its hinges can flip up to 180 degrees. The cooling system is superb with large rear exhaust fans and dust filter, no noticeable noise heard while playing triple AAA games. TUF A14 can go with up to 4TB PCIE 4.0 SSD (2 Slots) and RAM maximum total capacity is 16GB.

I am afraid to test its toughness but here's the catch, I accidentally dropped the unit from my working table (73cm high) but NO SCRATCH AT ALL and NO SIGNS OF DEFECT, the military grade feature has been passed! 

I only tested the AI Feature using the Copilot, same as how we use ChatGPT. In fairness, the AI already on and assisting me at the time I open and setting up the laptop. I know, I heard you, I need to maximize its AI feature and will post about it soon.

Web Camera is crystal clear at 1080P FHD specs. The high-resolution audio will not disappoint you as it has two-way AI noise cancellation and speakers are powered by Dolby Atmos, great quality of sound!

Low battery warning shows at 10% and 5%. The battery gets full in just 1 hour and 47 minutes.

CONCLUSION

Well, I can say this is price worthy for me. I see a lot of advantage on my perspective, and it's not bad to use for work and business related. And well recommended for graphic designers too, guess you can use the AI feature too and see what difference it can make. So far, this is my favorite model among the ASUS TUF Gaming Laptops. 

Below are my ratings according to criteria set by our team.

• 10/10 - simple but very cool design, and most especially because its lightweight! And because I accidentally proven its toughness.
• 8/10 - performance is good but it would be great to have higher RAM capacity.
• 10/10 - again, its price worthy! I can use it any mode I am in.

Overall, I am giving it a Class A award!
